Eligibility Criteria for the Delhi Ladli Scheme

How to Apply for the Delhi Ladli Scheme

There are two modes of applying for the Delhi Ladli SchemeOffline through Application Form and Online via the E-District Portal.

Offline Application Process

At Birth:

  1. Collect the application form from the nearest district office of the Department of Women and Child Development.
  2. Fill in the required details and attach the necessary documents.
  3. Submit the completed form to the district office.
  4. The application will be verified by the authorities.
  5. If everything is in order, the fund will be deposited in the name of the girl child with SBI Life Insurance Corporation.

At School Level:

  1. Obtain the application form from a government-recognized school or district office.

Online Application Process

  1. Visit the Delhi E-District Portal.
  2. Click on ‘New User’ and register yourself.
  3. Enter Aadhar number and complete the verification process.
  4. Fill out the registration form and submit it.
  5. A username and password will be sent to your mobile number.
  6. Log in and select Delhi Ladli Scheme under Services.
  7. Fill in the required details and upload documents such as Aadhar Card, Birth Certificate, Income Certificate, Residence Proof, etc.
  8. Submit the application. You will receive a registration ID via SMS.
  9. Once verified, you will be notified of the approval.

Maturity Claim Process

A girl child registered under the Delhi Ladli Scheme can claim the maturity amount after passing Class 10 or 12 and upon attaining 18 years of age.

Steps to Claim the Maturity Amount

1.     Open a zero-balance account at any SBI branch.

2.     Submit the required documents, including two passport-size photographs, the receipt issued by SBI Life Insurance, identity proof of the girl child, and proof of residence.

3.     After opening the account, visit the district WCD office with the original and photocopy of the bank passbook, a crossed blank cheque, the original receipt from SBI Life Insurance, and proof of education (Class 10/12 mark sheet).

4.     Once the verification is complete, the maturity amount will be transferred to the girl’s account.
